Traditional Indian
painting is as old and varied as the land itself. The earliest
paintings in India can be found on the walls of Bhimbetka caves in
Madhya Pradesh, Indus valley civilization, Ajanta and Mughal
miniatures.
Mural painting is a painting that is applied to a wall
surface, and therefore is an art lying somewhere between fine art
and house painting.
Abstract acrylic paintings are a special form of abstract
painting that are created by acrylic paints used on canvas. Abstract
Art in which the subject is color, line, and shape rather than
recognizable forms or a picture you can identify.
Miniatures paintings are intricate, colorful handmade
illuminations or paintings, small in size, executed meticulously
with delicate brushwork. The colors used in the miniature paintings
were derived from minerals, vegetables, precious stones, indigo,
conch shells, pure gold and silver.
Figurative art describes artwork - particularly paintings -
which are clearly derived from real object sources, and are
therefore by definition representational.
I use oil, acrylic, or water colors on cotton canvas, stretch canvas
or paper canvas.
